While researching for the three part blog series Whose land was that? I came across a newspaper article about a 4th of July party held in 1903 by the family featured in that series.
The flag in 1903 only had 45 stars, but I couldn’t find a photo of one of those.
Nowadays we would call it an old-fashioned 4th of July celebration. Read the article below and let your mind imagine the fun they had that day.
